Dan Benjamin Named Partner at Calvo & Clark

Tamuning, Guam, January 17, 2007 – Calvo & Clark LLP announced today that Dan Benjamin has been named partner. Mr. Benjamin's practice focuses on commercial and complex civil litigation, and he has represented numerous corporate, governmental, and individual clients. He actively litigates cases in Guam, California and Saipan. Recent engagements include a successful argument on behalf of the Governor of Guam before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in an action concerning the respective powers of the Governor and Attorney General of Guam.

Prior to joining Calvo & Clark, Mr. Benjamin served as a law clerk to the Honorable David R. Thompson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and was an associate at the San Francisco office of the law firm of Morrison & Foerster, LLP. He also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Anthony Kline, a Presiding Justice of the California Court of Appeal.

Mr. Benjamin received his J.D. in 2000 from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), where he was elected to Order of the Coif. He received his B.A. with Honors in 1997 from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
