Governor Can Proceed with $90 Million Settlement to Benefit Guam’s Working Poor
Guam (March 10, 2006). A Guam district court has ruled that Governor Felix Camacho can proceed with a $90 million settlement of an Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) class action that had been held up in a dispute with Guam’s Attorney General. The decision disqualified the Attorney General from the case and clarified the roles of the Governor and the Attorney General as they relate to the EITC lawsuits and the settlement. Calvo & Clark represented the Governor in the dispute. For more information: http://www.kuam.com/news/17066.aspx
