Bill Hebert Joins Calvo & Clark in San Francisco – Firm Also Adds Associates in Guam

San Francisco, August 24, 2007 – Calvo & Clark LLP announced today that William N. Hebert has joined the firm as a partner in the San Francisco office. The firm also announced that James Hofman and Shane Intihar have joined the Guam office as associates, bringing the total number of lawyers in San Francisco and Guam to 17.

Mr. Hebert, former managing partner of the San Francisco office of Coudert Brothers LLP and most recently Of Counsel at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis LLP, will continue his practice in business litigation, including class actions, antitrust and unfair competition.

Mr. Hebert commented, “I’m looking forward to being reunited with Kathy Fisher and Arne Wagner, who I worked closely with for many years at Morrison & Foerster earlier in my career. I have nothing but the highest regard for my former colleagues at K&L Gates, but the chance to do interesting, high-stakes litigation with old friends was an opportunity that was simply too good to pass up.”

Mr. Hebert started his career as an associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP. He was a Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Francisco from 1994 – 1996. He joined Coudert Brothers in 1997, where he was a partner for a number of years. He is currently a member-elect of the California State Bar Board of Governors and a member of the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of San Francisco. Mr. Hebert received his J.D. from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law in 1988 and an A.B. from Stanford University in 1983.

Mr. Hofman and Mr. Intihar wil both be resident in the firm’s Guam office. According to Managing Partner Rod Jacob, “We are very pleased to be able to add a partner of Bill’s caliber to our busy litigation group in San Francisco, while strengthening our Guam office with two great new associates. It’s a busy time for the firm, with a steady stream of transactional matters in Guam and significant litigation matters heating up, so our new lawyers are definitely arriving at the right time.”

Mr. Hofman received a combined J.D./Masters in East Asian Studies from Washington University in 2005 and his B.A. in English Literature from Taylor University. While in law school, he received a Dagen-Legomsky fellowship, which allowed him to study Japanese law at Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. He also served as an administrative intern to Takashi Shinohara, Member of the Lower House of Councilors in the Japanese Diet.

Mr. Intihar received his J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 2005 and his B.A. in English cum laude from College of William and Mary. He was most recently Vice President of Excel Title Corporation in Fairfax, Virginia.
