Payouts to Begin Soon in $75 Million Settlement to Benefit Guam’s Working Poor
Guam (May 6, 2008). After years of litigation, the government of Guam is poised to begin payouts to Guam's working poor resulting from a successful class action lawsuit involving the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Attorneys at Calvo & Clark played a key role in paving the way for the settlement. In 2006, the Guam District Court had approved Governor Felix Camacho’s $90 million settlement of The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) class action.
